Screen Printing is essentially a process in which a film bearing the design to be reproduced is permanently affixed to a screen using a light sensitive emollition. Inks are forced through the screen using a squeegee on to a tee shirt thus forming a facsimile of the original design. The inks are then heated and dried to permanently affix the design to the tee shirt.
Abacus has both automatic and manual printing.
Automatic machines are fast and most importantly consistent. Garment to garment there is very little difference if any. Manual printing is still effective for small order.
All of Abacus’ screen printing is done in house. This is the only way to insure our customers are receiving the highest quality prints available. We do not broker our work!!!
Inks
Abacus only uses the best inks on the market. Wilflex has been the leader in the screen printing inks for many years. Their unique ink color matching system insures that mix after mix ink colors a consistent.
Pantone Matching System
PMS ink matching is a universally recognized system for matching colors. Abacus has the ability to match any color you so desire. If your looking to match a color used on a business card or letterhead, and the printer does not remember what they used or maybe they are no longer in business Abacus can match the color right off the card or paper stock simply by comparing it to the PMS guide.
Set Up Fee
In most cases there is no set up for screen printing. When prints become very complex there may be a set up fee.
